What the historians say:

The history of football and hurling in Finglas and Fingal regions goes back beyond the founding of  the GAA,

in fact, records  of matches between local teams exist as far back as the eighteenth century. It was 1917

that saw the foundations of Dublin's celebrated Erin's Isle, from whom all these years later, the divine

inspiration for our famous Erin's Isle Family Pub and Restaurant was drawn, and not forgetting, Dave and Ray

played both Hurling and Football at all levels for Erin's Isle.

Since it's opening in 1981, we are proud to say that Erin's Isle has become one of Europe's most popular Irish

Venues, serving up to 350 Irish breakfasts daily and employing more than 50 full time staff, many of whom have

been with us since day one!.

 

Importing traditional Irish brands such as Olhausen (sausages, bacon, white pudding, collars of bacon) and King crisps,

directly from Ireland, contributes to the authenticity of Erin's Isle. Combine this with genuine Dublin Draught Guinness,

Kilkenny and Magners Cider on tap; Live Irish Entertainment every night; and every Saturday and Sunday,

live Gaelic Games shown on 20 High Definition Televisions and 3 Giant 2m x 2m Screens, and we hope you will

be forgiven for thinking that you haven't left the Emerald Isle at all!
